Sant Jeroni Summit Loop


  • This is the classic and most popular hike, leading to the highest peak of Montserrat at 1,236 meters. It offers spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the massif, the Pyrenees, and even Barcelona on clear days. The hike typically takes around 4 hours round trip.

 

Camí de Sant Miquel (Saint Michael’s Cross Route)


  • An easy to moderate 3 km circular trail starting from the monastery, passing the hermitage of Sant Miquel, and offering impressive views of the monastery, the Pyrenees, and the surrounding valleys. Ideal for families and beginners.

 

Route of the Hermitages (Camí de les Ermites)

  • This trail connects several lesser-known hermitages such as Sant Joan, Santa Caterina, Sant Onofre, and Sant Benet. It provides a mix of cultural exploration and scenic nature through wooded areas and viewpoints.

 

Montserrat Circular Route via Pla dels Ocells


  • A roughly 7 km loop starting at the monastery going up to Sant Jeroni peak, passing through rock formations named Momia, Elefant, and Prenyada, with opportunities for picnics and spectacular lookout points like Mirador de la Serra de los Paparres.
